Reservation and Payment Policy

All attendees are required to purchase their own travel insurance. Why travel insurance you ask? Well to cover emergencies of course. But travel insurance can also help cover you if an unexpected emergency or major life event change comes up and you need to cancel last minute.  You can choose the level of coverage that you would like for the trip; however, medical insurance must be included.  

 

It is important to note that most travel insurance companies require you to pay for travel insurance within 14 days of the first payment for your trip. Approximate cost for travel insurance for this trip should range between $70 and $150. You can get a free quote with World Nomads (who I like to use), by clicking this link.  However, please note that you are not obligated to use the travel insurance I use and can choose whichever travel insurance company you like.

The Women Lawyers Retreat is limited to 10 spaces.  Once I have confirmed availability, I will hold your spot for three (3) days until I receive your deposit of $500.  Your deposit is fully refundable if cancelled more than 120 days prior to the first day of the trip.

 

50% of the total cost of the retreat (less any previously paid deposit, if applicable) will be due 90 days prior to the first day of the trip.  The remaining balance is due 30 days before the first day of the retreat.  If you are booking less than 30 days before the trip, the full balance is due at the time of booking.  Note: Payment plans are also available if you wish to split up the payments into smaller amounts.  Email me directly if you wish to use a payment plan.

Please note that unfortunately cancellation policies are necessary, since late cancellations can impact the entire trip.  The villas and most activities must be booked and paid for in advance, and villa size is based on actual attendance, so cancellations can have an impact on pricing for other guests.  My cancellation policy is below:

 

Cancellation Policy

• Your deposit is fully refundable if cancelled more than 120 days prior to the first day of the trip.

• If you cancel 60-119 days before the retreat start date, 50% of your payment will be refunded.

• If you cancel 30-59 days before the retreat start date, 25% of your payment will be refunded.

• If you cancel 29 days or less before the retreat start date, you forfeit 100% of your payment.

 

If something comes up and you absolutely must cancel but don't want to forfeit your payment, please reach out to me to see if there is something I can do.  I may be willing to allow a full refund if a replacement is found in a timely fashion.  As always, I want to work with you and understand that life does happen, so please just email me if you encounter a problem.

 

Depending on the policy and conditions, travel insurance will pay also for some or all cancellation fees.  That is another reason why I require all attendees to purchase travel insurance.  Most travel insurance must be purchased travel within 21 days or less of booking your reservation.
